It has reached 84 degrees in our office today it is usually between 78 and 82 on any given day. We are right by the servers and the air conditioning in this building has been screwy since day one. They moved our whole department, 12 people into a room zoned for 2 people. We have been here since January and it keeps getting worse.

Does anyone know if there are laws against working in certain temperatures in an office building with poor ventilation? How hot does it have to get before they send us home?

Same thing happened over here. Basically, if you say to your manager it is bothering you, then they let you go home. But no one did, so...oh well. Not sure if there is a law or anything like that, but it wouldn't surprise me in this state.

Probably not in TX, but quite possibly in CA.

The old standby would be OSHA, of course.
